The First Baptist Church in Gwagwalada Area Council of Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Abuja, has commenced a four-day revival service, where the guest revivalist, Reverend Mike Babatunde, has urged Christians to build Godly homes.
In a sermon during the commencement of the Revival Service, the Guest Speaker from First Grace Baptist Church, Ikorodu in Lagos State, Reverend Babatunde, admonished christians to be committed to building Godly homes towards ensuring the betterment of the society.
Taking his Bible reading from Psalm 127 verse 1, Reverend Babatunde said any home without God’s foundation would definitely collapse.
According to him, building a Godly home was beyond wedding ceremonies, hence the need for couples to always seek the face of God before marriage.
He attributed most problems and challenges in the country today to bad parenting due to several unGodly families producing unpatriotic citizens most especially youths.
The cleric, therefore, advised married Christians to always seek for God’s wisdom and knowledge in building successful homes.
Reverend Babatunde also enjoined Christians to be steadfast in faith and prayers in order to overcome challenges confronting their homes.
Earlier, the host Pastor and Minister in charge of First Baptist Church, Gwagwalada, Abuja, Reverend Deji Oyelami, said the four-day revival service was to reawaken the consciousness of Christians towards building Godly homes.
Reverend Oyelami stated that the revival service would be used to also sensitise upcoming couples on what is expected of them before going to the altar for marriage.
He, therefore, admonished Christian bachelors and spinsters to always shun acts that would affect their marital lives.
