Bauchi State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has reaffirmed its confidence and support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu-led federal government and Vice President Kashim Shettima.
The party reacted to a statement circulated on new media credited to some groups within the party accusing the president of neglecting APC members from Bauchi.

Speaking to journalists at the party’s secretariat yesterday in Bauchi, the chairman of the publicity committee of the APC, Barrister Saadu Umar, said the president and his vice and the APC leadership enjoy unwavering support of the party.
He said, “We implacably condemn the wild accusation that the APC leadership, the federal government and the judiciary have, or are jointly or severally neglecting or maltreating the Bauchi State APC, its members and the entire population of Bauchi State, this is absurd and nothing can be further from the truth.”

Umar said President Tinubu’s high regard for Bauchi is manifest because he appointed two of the state’s sons to lead critical ministries of foreign affairs, health and social welfare.

He also expressed that the party has full confidence in the judiciary as an institution, and has faithfully accepted all the judgements duly delivered by the courts because the judiciary has demonstrated itself as an institution because some APC seats were maintained even though it lost the governorship case challenging the election of Governor Bala Mohammed of PDP at the apex court.
