Bauchi State government has refuted claims circulating on social media on the dissolution of the Bauchi State Scholarship Board.

The special adviser to the governor on media, Mukhtar Gidado, disclosed this in a statement made available to reporters in Bauchi.

He said the rumoured board’s disbandment due to economic constraints is false.

Gidado emphasised that the government has not issued any directive to dissolve the scholarship board and remains dedicated to supporting students’ education despite ongoing economic challenges.

“The scholarship scheme is active and the government is committed to timely disbursements,” he stated.

Gidaɗo called on the public, especially students and parents, to ignore the misleading information and rely only on verified communications from the state government.
