Bauchi State Governor, Bala Mohammed, has approved the appointment of 21 Senior Special Assistants (SSAs) and seven Special Assistants (SAs) in a move geared towards enhancing good governance, efficiency and inclusivity.

In a press release issued by the governor’s spokesperson, Mukhtar Gidado, and made available to journalists in Bauchi on Monday, Mohammed said that all the appointments will take immediate effect.

He said appointments come after a rigorous selection process that focused on merit, competence and a commitment to public service.

According to the statement, the new appointees are expected to bring their wealth of experiences, skills and expertise to the implementation of government policies and programs that address the needs of the people of Bauchi.

Gidado added that the individuals chosen have demonstrated exemplary dedication to the development of Bauchi, embodying the values and vision of the governor.

“The merit-based appointments underscores the commitment of the Governor to fostering transparency, accountability, and good governance, as their appointments will further strengthen the state government’s capacity to deliver on its mandate and fulfil its promises to the citizens of the state,” he added.
