Bauchi State governor, Bala Mohammed, has reiterated his administration’s commitment to implementing policies and programmes that enhance the lives of citizens, particularly children.
Speaking yesterday during the 2025 Children’s Day celebration held in Bauchi, he emphasised the importance of raising patriotic and law-abiding future leaders.
Represented by his deputy, Auwal Jatau, Governor Mohammed highlighted the administration’s unwavering focus on education, health, and the safety of children.
He called on children to avoid social vices and remain disciplined as they prepare to take on leadership roles in the future. The event saw the participation of hundreds of schools and organisations from across the state.
“As a government, we are determined to ensure that children, who are the backbone of our society, grow up in an environment that fosters learning, good health, and safety,” he said.
The governor also emphasised the administration’s proactive approach to addressing challenges facing children.
The commissioner for Women Affairs and Child Development, Zainab Baban Takko, lauded Governor Mohammed’s efforts in supporting children’s welfare.
She highlighted the administration’s achievements in child-focused initiatives and urged stakeholders to sustain their collaboration with the government to improve children’s lives further.
The commissioner also appealed to parents, teachers, and community leaders to work together in instilling good morals and values in children.
She underscored the importance of a collective approach in nurturing children who would positively contribute to society.
