Bauchi State Governor Bala Mohammed has sworn in 19 special advisers with a charge on them to be prudent in the management of resources that would be made available to them, saying his administration was irrevocably committed to taking the state to greater heights.
Governor Mohammed said at the swearing ceremony at the Bauchi Government House yesterday that his re-election was a clear manifestation of the confidence reposed in him by people of the state, and promised not to take it for granted as he remained committed to working harder than he did in his first term to ensure more effective and efficient service delivery.
The appointment of the special advisers according to Mohammed, is part of his effort to engage people of integrity, requisite knowledge, experience and competence to serve in various capacities.
Governor Mohammed said though some of the appointees are not from the state, they are Nigerians who have distinguished themselves in various fields and are expected to compliment the role of the recently appointed commissioners in service delivery.
While urging the appointees to make meaningful impact on governance, Mohammed said the blueprint called the #BauchiProject which he conceptualised had been reviewed by the technical committee to address the current socio-economic realities.
He added that the report submitted by the committee would be thoroughly studied for his administration to be guided in transforming the state.
