The Bauchi State Civil Service Commission (BSCSC) has alerted the general public on the activities of some fraudsters issuing fake appointment letters to unsuspecting job seekers.
In a statement issued by the commission’s information officer, Saleh Umar, the general public was urged to remain cautious and vigilant, noting that the fraudulent offers have no connection to the state’s official recruitment processes.
The commission emphasised that genuine appointments do not require any form of payment and are made strictly through established procedures based on merit.
“All appointments are done strictly in accordance with the established procedures and based on merit.
“Anyone found engaging in such fraudulent activities will face the full wrath of the law. The general public is further warned to desist from entering into any arrangement aimed at securing appointments through payment, as appointments are not for sale,” the statement read.
