In a communique issued at the end of the May Congress of the Union held at NUJ State Secretariat in Bauchi, members recommended for a second tenure in office for the entire executives.

Meanwhile, the Congress ratified the nomination of a seven-member electoral committee for onward transmission to the National Secretariat for approval, to conduct fresh elections in to the offices of the State Working Committee members of the Union.
