She equally lauded the governor for providing an enabling environment for good working relations between the government and all relevant agencies, including the local government administration in the state.

“I am particularly delighted and appreciate the exemplary role by His Excellency, in supporting us at the Bauchi Local Government Council in empowering our citizens with palliative support to cushion the effects of economic hardship and initiate self-reliance efforts through engagement in economic ventures,” she said.

In a press statement on Friday to mark the Eid-el-Fitr celebration, Hajiya Tanko also appealed to the residents of the council area to make a conscious effort to address the issue of food security and sufficiency.

“We must embrace agriculture as the mainstay of our economy, by returning to our farms with all seriousness it deserves”, she said.

She assured that the state government on its part is doing all it could to ensure the provision of fertilizer and other farming implements, as well as the enabling environment that could boost agriculture and encourage large scale production by local farmers in the community.

“I take this opportunity equally to appeal to the entire citizens in this area to use the lessons of both fasting and Sallah celebrations in promoting tolerance, peaceful co-existence, and in maintaining peace and security in all nooks and corners of the Bauchi Local Government Area.

“Youth should eschew violence and criminal activities, by giving their maximum cooperation for the attainment of excellence in community policing, and the promotion of greater commitment to achieve peace and tranquility in Bauchi state,” she said.

Zainab recalled that even during the just concluded Ramadan fast they did that at the local government level, hence her confidence that the administration of Governor Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed in the state will continue to support them in this and many other areas in order to excel and move the state to greater heights.

She also congratulated the Emir of Bauchi, Dr Rilwan Suleiman Adamu on this auspicious occasion of eid-el Fitr celebration, and wish the emirate council more meritorious rise to an enviable position, and more glorious achievements as it collaborates with government at all levels for continuous dividends of democracy.

“We are very gratitude to Allah Subhanu wa Ta’ala living to witness this year’s occasion, hale and hearty, having accomplished a full month of worship, charity, fasting and all manner of kindness and good neighborliness for the sake of self-moral purification and bond of togetherness with other human beings as a community.”

Zainab expressed gratitude to Islamic Ulamas for their great achievements of conducting peaceful tafsir sessions throughout the period both at their tafsir centers and in the media.

She concluded, “I appreciate the moderation of the Tafsir lessons and the sound moral preaching they provided, which we hope to sustain in the chains of moral virtues expected from all segments of our community; women, youth, leaders and the general public in tandem with good religious tenets.”
