The commissioner for information, orientation and strategy, Hon. Ayibaina Duba, while speaking during the “Transparency Briefing” for March and April 2022, pleaded with youths and community leaders to sheath their swords by allowing the government to deliver on its development mandate.

He said the Ministry of Works was already engaging the communities at different levels to make sure that the project is executed.

“We are pleading just like we pleaded the last time with communities in and around the neighborhood to please assist us so that there is no stalling of the project. We have some intelligence reports that some people planning to disrupt the smooth execution of the project by going to the site to do some unawesome things,” he said.

Duba added that they had mobilised contractors and were waiting for Governor Douye Diri to do the ground-breaking.
