First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, has asked Nigerian youths to be focused and hardworking.

She gave the charge yesterday at Ile-Ife, Osun State, during the inauguration and  handing over of Senator Oluremi Tinubu Dream Centre, built by the Ooni of Ile-Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, Ojaja II, in collaboration with the National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA) to the management of the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Osun State.

Senator Tinubu, who inaugurated the Dream Centre, told her story succinctly, encouraging young people to be focused, prayerful, and hardworking while dreaming big, but warned against covetousness and overambition.

The First Lady admonished youths to visit the Dream Centre, painstakingly study how she walked her dream through the help of God and expressed optimism that her story will inspire them.

In his address, the Director General & CEO of NITDA, Kashifu Inuwa Abdullahi, said the Centre was built to shape the minds of the young at heart with wisdom, adding that the Centre tells the story of Senator Remi Tinubu, whose legacy is worthy of emulation.

He noted that the Centre was designed to expand the art of storytelling, adding that they infused technology to breathe new life into it, with the understanding that those using the centre are students.

Also speaking, the Ooni of Ile-Ife, Oba Adeyeye Eniitan Ogunwusi, Ojaja II, noted that Chief (Mrs) Tinubu deserved to be celebrated for her achievements as a wife, mother, teacher, minister of God, senator, and the wife of the president of the most populous country in Africa, among others.

The monarch, who was full of encomium for the roles played by the First Lady in lifting her Alma Mata, the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, said the hands of Mrs Tinubu are felt across Nigeria, which makes her qualified to be referred to as Mother of the Nation.
