Be Steadfast, United For APC Success, Ojelabi Urges Party Members In Lagos

The re-elected Lagos State chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Pastor Cornelius Ojelabi, has charged members of the party to remain steadfast, focused and united for  the victory of the party in the forthcoming elections in Lagos State and Nigeria.

He stated this on Tuesday in his inaugural speech after he and the members of the state executive reelection were confirmed through a voice vote from party delegates from across the 20 local government areas that made up the state at the party congress held at Mobolaji Johnson Arena at Onikan (formerly Onikan Stadium), Lagos Island.

The party chairman said the success of the party depends on the dedication and ability of its members to work as a team.

“Success of our party depends on our dedication and ability to work together, let’s strengthen our bond, reach out to every community and ensure that no voice  is left unheard  and no house is left idle in this meeting,” he said.

Ojelabi said, “As I reflect on the journey of the past four years, I am filled with pride in all we accomplished together, from strengthening our party structure to securing victories at the polls.

“We have demonstrated that APC is not just a party but a movement, a movement for progress, development and the betterment of lives of every Lagosians,  however,  my dear friends as we celebrate today, we must also look ahead the forthcoming elections is there for us as another opportunity to showcase the strength of our unity and the power  of our collective resolve.

 

 

 

“This is the time for us to work together again. We can achieve great things, together  again as in the past and we  ensure that the  APC continues  to lead the way in delivering  good  governance and sustainable development of our people.

 

 

 

 

 

Ojelabi also thanked the party stakeholders for their contributions to the growth and success of the party, just he urged them not to relent on their efforts.

 

 

 

Advising the newly inaugurated executive, Lagos State governor, Mr.  Babajide Sanwo-Olu said the challenge ahead of the executive is to promote the party in the state to an enviable status, so that it becomes a reference point to other state chapters of the party.
