Oyo State Fire Services Agency has recovered the bodies of two males and rescued another person from a fire incident that occurred on Tuesday at Arapaja Bridge, Kudeti area, Ibadan.

The special adviser on Fire Reform/chairman Fire Services Agency, Dr Moroof Akinwande, who confirmed the incident yesterday, said it was reported on Tuesday at exactly 15:44hrs through a telephone call and Mr Lateef Jayeoba.

He said firemen were swiftly deployed to the scene, adding that, “upon arrival, it was a Lexus Jeep 360 with registration number: KSF297JF lost control whilst on motion and somersaulted into the nearby gutter and caught fire.

“Our officers swiftly got into action and prevented the fire from spreading to other nearby properties.

“Two male persons recovered and one person rescued alive, handed over to the policemen and conveyed to the nearest hospital”, he said.

According to him, the accident was a result of reckless driving.

The officer -in-charge, while advising the sympathizers to always be conscious in their everyday activities, charged them to promptly call fire service and give the correct address whenever there is an emergency.

He commended the Nigerian Police Mapo Divisional headquarters for security cover during the operation.
