‎
‎The Film One Entertainment has lauded the team behind the box office movie, ‘Behind The Scenes’, produced by the legendary actor and producer, Funke Akindele
‎
‎According to the cinema company, the
‎₦2.7 billion made at the box office is a historic milestone that now stands as the highest-grossing Nollywood title of all time.
‎
‎The outfit, in a post released on its social media account, stated that the feat is not something to gloss over. It provided a breakdown of revenue, totalling $294,000 from North America and £159,000 from the United Kingdom and Ireland.
‎
‎‎”From West Africa to audiences across the world, the film also became the highest-grossing Nollywood title in the United Kingdom, Ireland, the United States, and Canada.
‎
‎”Moments like this remind us of the extraordinary power of our stories. Stories rooted in our culture, humour, struggles, and triumphs. When these stories find their audience, something remarkable happens.
‎
‎”This achievement is not just a win for one film, but a powerful reminder of how far Nollywood has come and the limitless possibilities ahead for African cinema.
‎
‎”To everyone who bought a ticket, told a friend, laughed, cried, and celebrated this journey with us, thank you for showing up and making history with us,’ says FilmOne Entertainment.
‎
‎Behind the Scenes is a 2025 Nollywood drama co-directed and produced by Funke Akindele, which became the fastest film in West Africa to cross N1 billion at the box office. Released on December 12, 2025, it tells the story of Aderonke, a generous real estate mogul whose life falls apart due to selfish family members.
‎
‎Directed by Funke Akindele and Tunde Olaoye, the movie starred Funke Akindele, Destiny Etiko, Ibrahim Chatta, Tobi Bakre, Uche Montana, and Iyabo Ojo.
