Unom who disclosed this during the flag off of PDP campaign in Ugba the headquarters of Logo local government area said citizens should reject Fr. Alia because as the APC candidate he has not condemned the killings of Benue people by the Fulani herdsmen in his speeches.

In his address, Governor Samuel Ortom advised Benue electorates to collect their permanent voters’ cards (PVCs) to enable them vote massively for the PDP during the 2023 general election.

“If you fail to collect your PVCs you will disenfranchise yourselves thereby not voting for our dear party which is also your party.

“I encourage you to vote en masse for all the PDP candidates and you should not allow yourselves to be deceived by candidates of other political parties because they do not have anything to offer,” Ortom said.

Earlier, the PDP governorship candidate in Benue, Titus Uba, appreciated the people for praying for his quick recovery, stressing that God healed him because of their prayers.

According to him, “Senator Gabriel Suswam has done great things for the people of the Benue North East Senatorial District and they were speaking volumes in favour of PDP, therefore, there was no need to worry about the outcome of the forthcoming elections. I am confident that all the PDP candidates in the state will surely win their elections,” Uba said.

Suswam also urged the people of the area to rally round Uba and other PDP candidates to ensure that they won their elections.

He disclosed that Uba’s mother was their sister and they should stand with him because if he wins they would benefit immensely.

Suswam said that they should not vote for people that would start learning the workings of government, stressing that Uba had the capacity and experience because he held the position of speaker of the state assembly for several years therefore, governance would not be new to him.

The director-general (DG), Uba/Ngbede Campaign Organisation, Dr Cletus Tyokyaa, expressed optimism that Benue people would vote massively for all the PDP candidates.
