Nigerian music stars Wizkid, Asake, Burna Boy, and Tems have secured nominations for the 2026 Black Entertainment Television (BET) Awards.
The organisers unveiled the nomination list on Tuesday, ahead of the annual ceremony that celebrates achievements in entertainment and honours Black culture globally. The event is scheduled to take place in Los Angeles on June 28, 2026.
Following their collaborative projects, Asake and Wizkid earned a joint nomination in the ‘Best Group’ category.
Tems secured three nominations, including ‘Best Female R&B/Pop Artist’. She was also nominated in the ‘BET Her’ category for her song First, and the ‘Viewers’ Choice Award’ for Raindance, her collaboration with British rapper Dave.
Grammy winner Burna Boy earned a nomination in the ‘Best Collaboration’ category for his feature on American rapper Gunna’s single, WGFT.
The 2026 BET Awards will be hosted by American comedian Druski and broadcast live from the United States.
