During a meeting with Rev. Dr. Gbenga Odebiri, president of the United Missionary Church of Africa (UMCA) in Lokoja, Bishop Egbunu stressed the need for Christians to come together in love and support amidst the current climate of division and strife.

While acknowledging the diversity of beliefs and practices among different Christian denominations, Bishop Egbunu highlighted the common ground shared by all followers of Christ, emphasising the importance of working together to spread the gospel.

“It is imperative that we set aside our differences and unite in love and harmony to fulfill the great commission of making disciples of all nations,” he said.

In addition to promoting unity, Bishop Egbunu urged all believers to refocus their efforts on soul-winning, emphasising that bringing others to the knowledge of Christ and fostering a personal relationship with him should be the ultimate goal of every Christian.

According to the bishop, to support this renewed focus, the church is launching a series of outreach and evangelism programmes aimed at reaching those who have not yet heard the message of salvation, saying all Christians are encouraged to participate in these efforts and collaborate towards this common goal.
