Benson Idahosa University (BIU) and Montana Technological University (MTU) have partnered to reshape the future of education and research.
The partnership between the two Universities is set to benefit the students and faculties.
In a statement released by management of Benson Idahosa University, the Memorandum of Understanding was signed by both parties, the Vice Chancellor of BIU, Prof. Sam Guobadia and Prof. Nosa Egiebor, the Provost and Executive Vice Chancellor of Montana Technological University
“This signifies a commitment to foster innovation, knowledge exchange, and global perspectives for the students and faculties of both institutions, leveraging each other’s strengths to elevate the educational experience for the BIU community.
“The partnership, shaped by BIU’s unwavering commitment to student welfare and academic excellence, ushers in an era of cutting-edge learning, particularly for the nursing students.
“By gaining exposure to advanced technologies not commonly accessible in Nigeria, they will be uniquely positioned to study and combat diseases on a broader spectrum,” the statement read.
Speaking further, the VC of BIU, Goubadia noted that its engineering students stand to gain immensely from Montana University’s expertise in mining technology and artificial intelligence.
He added that the partnership is poised to revolutionise their academic journey, equipping them with unparalleled knowledge and insights that will not only benefit them but also ripple through the academic community.
“In the spirit of collaboration, the students can now extend their educational reach far beyond Nigeria’s borders, delving into a world of international research opportunities, broadening their horizons, and nurturing a global perspective. This partnership also paves the way for collaborative research ventures for faculty members.”
Guobadia also stated that the MOU is a testament to the university’s unwavering commitment to providing her students with the best opportunities, ensuring their personal and academic growth.
