In a major turn of events, cryptocurrency businessman Linus Williams Ifejirika, popularly known as Blord, may soon regain his freedom following a new development in his legal battle.
The Nigerian Police Force has officially withdrawn its counter-affidavit that was previously filed to oppose Blord’s bail application. This move was confirmed on Tuesday, April 14, 2026, by human rights activist Omoyele Sowore.
Blord has been held at the Kuje Correctional Centre for over 12 days after being arraigned at the Federal High Court in Abuja. He faces charges related to criminal conspiracy, impersonation, and the alleged unauthorised use of the image of social media critic, VeryDarkMan (VDM).
Speaking with journalists, Sowore explained that with the police withdrawing their opposition, the bail application is now unopposed. He noted that all parties involved are now working toward an amicable resolution to end the legal dispute.
“The bail application has been filed already. The police filed a counter, and it has now been withdrawn,” Sowore stated. “We have all agreed that this is going to end.”
