The major reason of our coming is to once again sympathise with you and convey our deepest sympathy to all the victims and to assure them that the federal government and indeed Borno State government will do everything possible that will strengthen the security of the entire Gwoza communities.
“We also advised them that they should partner with the government with a view to strengthening their resilience. This is the message of hope we have brought to them. And most importantly, we are here for confidence building and to assure them that we are here and will not let them down.”
The governor added that another reason for the visit is to provide them with humanitarian support, noting that most of them have left their homes for about two weeks hence the need to provide them with palliative.
Zulum said the humanitarian support will be extended to Pulka community hosting the Ngoshe residents since they are also a displacement community.
“We shall discuss with the military on how we can strengthen security in Gwoza end we are here to strengthen civil/ military relation towards addressing the security challenges,” he said.
