The governor’s visit to the tractor coy was part of their study tour to Pakistan on the country’s experience in post-insurgency recovery, disaster management among others.

A statement from the director general Press Affairs and Media to the Governor, Alh. Mamman Mohammed said the Governors visited the plant for discussions on getting the machines to their states for improved agricultural activities.

The three states are embracing improved agricultural production for food security and economic development as a measure to fast track the post insurgency recovery programme.

The governors study visit according to the statement was organized by the Multi-Sectoral Crisis Recovery Project (MCRP), a World Bank project, and coordinated by the North East Development Commission (NEDC) NERSP PMC Cell, a World Bank-funded initiative supporting recovery and peace-building in the Northeast of Borno, Adamawa, and Yobe (BAY) states.
