The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), on Monday morning, declared the New Nigerian Peoples Party (NNPP) governorship candidate, Engr. Abba Kabir Yusuf, winner of the Saturday’s governorship election in Kano State.
Yusuf polled a total of 1, 019, 602 votes to defeat the incumbent deputy governor and All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate, Dr. Nasir Yusuf Gawuna, who scored 890,705 votes, followed by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate with 15, 957 votes.
