BREAKING: Lagos Assembly Impeaches Speaker Obasa

Members of the Lagos State House of Assembly, on Monday, impeached the Speaker of the House, Rt. Hon. Mudashiru Obasa.

The development came amid allegations of corruption and financial mismanagement against the speaker.

Obasa was accused of spending N17 billion on the construction of a gate to the Assembly complex, which critics argued was excessive and fraudulent.

There have also been allegations of mishandling constituency funds and projects.
