Chairman of BUA Group, Abdul Samad Rabiu, has taken delivery of a Bombardier Global 8000 business jet valued at about $81 million (roughly N110 billion), marking the third private aircraft linked to his conglomerate.

Rabiu posted the arrival of the aircraft on his Instagram Stories, thanking God for the milestone. The Global 8000 joins a corporate aviation lineup that already includes a Bombardier Challenger 350 and a Bombardier Global 6500.

The purchase was finalised on December 4, 2025, in Dubai when Rabiu and senior Bombardier executives signed a sale agreement at BUA Group’s Dubai office.

At the time, Rabiu said the jet would serve both operational needs and BUA’s long-term expansion plans as the group grows across sectors and international markets.

Bombardier says the Global 8000 combines high speed and extended range with a large cabin laid out across four living areas, enabling work, dining, relaxation and private sleeping on long-haul flights. The model’s advertised maximum range is about 8,000 nautical miles, allowing nonstop intercontinental journeys that would force smaller aircraft to refuel.

Aviation analysts cautioned that ownership of a Global 8000-class aircraft carries substantial running costs. Typical annual operating expenses are estimated between $1.8 million and $2.9 million, depending on flight hours, maintenance cycles, crew expenses and routing.
