Former president, Muhammadu Buhari, has felicitated with Lt-Gen. Theophilus Yakubu Danjuma (rtd), saying he served the Army with pride and valour.
While extending warm felicitations on the occasion of his 86th birthday, Buhari in a statement yesterday in Abuja took the opportunity to express gratitude for Danjuma‘s remarkable service to the nation.
He acknowledged General Danjuma‘s pivotal role as chief of army staff and lauded him for building a formidable Army that stood prepared for combat operations.
The former president said, “TY as Chief of Army Staff built an army that was ready to execute combat operations day and night, at home and abroad, and at all times displayed the soldierly spirit of valour and indomitable courage. He served the Army with pride.”
He also wished him many more years of service to humanity as he built on his legacy of contribution to public causes and the welfare of the underprivileged.
