Buni Dissolves Caretaker Committees Ahead Of LG Polls

Yobe State Governor, Hon. Mai Mala Buni has approved the dissolution of the 17 local government caretaker management committees in the state, as elections into the LGAs draw nearer.

The dissolution was contained in a statement by the Secretary to the State Government, Baba Mala Wali, which was made available to LEADERSHIP in Damaturu, Yobe state capital on Wednesday.

The dissolution, the statement stated, is effective from Thursday 25 April, 2024.

Outgoing chairmen of the Caretaker Management Committees have therefore been directed to hand over to the Directors of Personnel Management (DPMs) of their respective local government areas.

LEADERSHIP recalls that the six months tenure of the affected caretaker committees have expired.
