The governor of Yobe State, Mai Mala Buni, chaired a security meeting with Members of the Yobe State Security Council on Thursday before the Ramadan fasting.

The head of security formations in the state attended the meeting at the Government House Damaturu.
The governor, represented by his Deputy, Hon. Idi Barde Gubana, commended the efforts of the state’s security agencies.

He said that the security meeting is imperative to review and analyse the security situation across the state.
Buni ensures that citizens in Yobe state observe the 30 days of Ramadan safely and that their property is adequately protected.

According to him, Ramadan involves many activities, including preaching, seminars, congregation prayer, iftar, and kiyamul daily, all of which require the presence of security agencies.

He further explained that, during this period, some harmful elements were disguised to do their evil deeds.

Leadership gathered that the meeting equally appreciated the effort of traditional rulers and community leaders in conflict resolution in their various domains.
