The kidnapped priest of Christ the King parish, Ezinachi, Okigwe Catholic Diocese, Okigwe local government area of Imo State, Father Jude Maduka, has regained freedom from his abductors.

Maduka was kidnapped Sunday morning by gunmen, who invaded his home while preparing for mass and took him to an unknown destination.

A source from the parish told LEADERSHIP that the gunmen had set Maduka free after security personnel launched intensive search for the abductors.

The source, however, declined to comment on whether ransom was paid before the cleric was released from captivity.
