The Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB) has disowned a fake document circulating on social media,

Purportedly announcing recruitment opportunities and choice of a presidential candidate.
The CDCFIB described the docuent as fake, unauthorised, and not issued by the board.
A disclaimer signed by the head of Press and Public Relations, Okeh Juliet, stated that the contents of the document, including the political opinions and statements contained therein, were falsely presented as an official announcement from the board and allegedly signed by the board secretary, Major Gen. A.M. Jibrin (rtd).

The statement added that the contents are inconsistent with the board’s official non-partisan communication standards.

“The attention of the Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB) has been drawn to a purported ‘Important Public Announcement’ circulating on social media and falsely attributed to the Board, allegedly signed by the Board Secretary, Major Gen. A. M. Jibrin (rtd).

“The Board wishes to state unequivocally that the document is fake, unauthorised, and does not emanate from the CDCFIB. The contents, including the political opinions and statements contained therein, are entirely inconsistent with the Board’s official, non-partisan communication standards.”

The Board urged members of the public to disregard the document entirely and rely only on verified CDCFIB communication channels for authentic information concerning the ongoing recruitment exercise and other Board activities.

The Board stressed that, under the leadership of the Honourable Minister of Interior, Dr. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, the Ministry has continued to pursue a clear vision of institutional reform, transparency, innovation, and improved service delivery across the agencies under its supervision.

The statement highlighted the Minister’s commitment to professionalism, accountability, and citizen-centred governance, noting that his efforts remain focused on strengthening the nation’s internal security architecture and enhancing public confidence in government services.

It added that, as a young leader with a deep understanding of the aspirations of Nigerian youths, the Minister has consistently demonstrated commitment to youth inclusion, empowerment, and the creation of opportunities for young Nigerians to contribute meaningfully to national development.
