The Chief of Defence Staff General Christopher Musa has been awarded the prestigious Nigeria Leadership Awards (NLA) 2024 for his pivotal role in stabilising the Nigerian polity. Senator Shehu Sani was also honoured for his relentless advocacy for justice and equity in the country.
The award was presented by Privilege Magazine and Communications in collaboration with the Arewa Concerned Citizens Forum (ACCF) at the Epitome Hotel in Barnawa, Kaduna South.
A statement by the publisher of Privilege Magazine, Dr Victor Bobai, said the recognition was aimed at fostering dialogue and cooperation among stakeholders.
Others honoured include General Mohammed Kabir Galadanci (rtd).
In his acceptance speech on behalf of all the awardees, General Galadanci (rtd) pledged continued support for initiatives aimed at promoting peace and security in Nigeria.
The statement said the awards came at the conclusion of a comprehensive Conference on Security and Peaceful coexistence among various nationalities in Nigeria.
The statement said, “The conference drew together prominent figures, including representatives of Governor Uba Sani of Kaduna State and Comrade Shehu Sani, both of whom were also honoured for their outstanding contributions to peace initiatives, good governance, and advocacy against corruption in community development.
The organisers called for the collective responsibility of all stakeholders to ensure a secure and harmonious society for future generations.
