All is now set for the tee off of the 2024 Golf Fore Peace Tournament at the TYB Golf Course in Asokoro with over 160 golfers ready to showcase their golfing prowess.

Receiving the organisers in his office, peace advocate and Chief of Defence Staff (CDS), General Christopher Musa, urged Nigerians to always live in peace as it is a better solution to combat elements of evil that are terrorizing the country.
General Musa, while receiving the peace torch, promised total support of Nigerian security to the organisers.

The chairman of the organising committee, Mr Abimbola Ajinibi, who has keyed into the non-kinetic approach of the current leadership of the Security Chiefs, emphasized the involvement of civilians in partnering with the military in maintaining internal peace.

The lead coordinator and initiator of Golf Fore Peace, Kemi Olowoyo Otegbade, said the reason for the tournament is to take peace campaigns around the nation in partnership with the Military.
She explains further that they are not limiting their campaign only to Abuja, that they intend to organize this event in other courses around Nigeria.

Highlights of the event include lighting the Peace Torch, Ceremonial Tee Off peace address to the participants, Peace Catwalk by 6 Footers Club, entertainment, as well as presentation of trophies & prizes to the winners.
