Champion Breweries PLC has completed the redemption of its Series 1 and Series 2 commercial paper issuances, fully repaying the N15.00 billion raised under its inaugural programme launched in July 2025.

The company had earlier repaid N4.22 billion under Series 1 in December 2025 and has now redeemed the N10.78 billion Series 2 issuance, which matured on April 1, 2026.

Champion Breweries said the successful repayment underscores its strong liquidity position and consistent track record in meeting investor obligations. It noted that both issuances were oversubscribed and attracted participation from a broad range of institutional investors, reflecting confidence in the company’s financial health and growth prospects.

Chairman of the company, Imo-Abasi Jacob, said the milestone highlights Champion Breweries disciplined financial management and long-term strategic focus.

He said the successful redemption demonstrates the strength of the company’s governance framework and the resilience of its operations, adding that the firm remains committed to executing its growth strategy while delivering sustainable value to stakeholders.

The company added that its performance under the commercial paper programme reinforces its credibility in the debt capital market and positions it to access future funding opportunities.
