Nigeria is making a return to the competition after a six-year absence. The team secured their spot in the tournament with a 3-1 aggregate victory over arch rivals Ghana during the qualifiers, marking a significant comeback to the CHAN stage.

Despite being one of Africa’s footballing powerhouses, Nigeria has yet to win the CHAN title.

Their best performances were a third-place finish at the 2014 edition in South Africa and a runners-up spot in 2018, where they lost to hosts Morocco in the final.
