Chelsea midfielder Enzo Fernandez has revealed his fondness for the Spanish capital, Madrid, citing its similarities to Buenos Aires and its culinary scene. The Argentina World Cup winner shared his thoughts during a recent interview with Luzu TV.
“I always tell my wife Valu that if I have to choose a city to live in Europe, I really like Madrid,” Fernandez told the outlet. “It’s very similar to Buenos Aires, also because of the food.” The 25-year-old’s admiration for Madrid has previously fuelled speculation of a potential move to Real Madrid. Fernandez joined Chelsea from Benfica in 2023, and former Blues midfielder John Obi Mikel recently suggested that the Argentine could be among the players departing the West London club in the upcoming summer transfer window.
