Chidex FC from Bwari and Medical Strikers from Gwagwalada have secured their places in the final of the ongoing Montage Football Tournament in Abuja, Federal Capital Territory.
Chidex FC triumphed over Gum FC of AMAC with a 3-1 victory in their semi-final match on Wednesday. They will now face Medical Strikers of Gwagwalada, who beat ECN FC 2-0 at the Kwali centre.
The final is set for Saturday, December 2025, at the Old Parade Ground in Garki, Abuja. The 2025 Montage Community Football Tournament commenced two weeks ago, featuring 24 teams from across the FCT’s six Area Councils.
Mohammed Abdullahi, head coach for Chidex FC, expressed his delight at his team’s qualification, praising his players for following his instructions.
Tournament coordinator, Mr. Raphael Ekpang, has promised an exciting final, highlighting that this is the first football tournament in the FCT organised by a radio station.
> “This is a final that everyone should try to watch because it’s going to be explosive,” Ekpang said.
Ekpang anticipates a highly competitive and entertaining match that spectators won’t want to miss.
In other news, Gum FC of AMAC and ECN of Kwali will compete for third place.
