Children of Blood and Bone Trailer Debuts, Featuring Ayra Starr, Idris Elba and Chiwetel Ejiofor

Nigerian music star Ayra Starr appears alongside Idris Elba and Chiwetel Ejiofor in the newly released trailer for Children of Blood and Bone, the long-awaited film adaptation of Tomi Adeyemi’s bestselling fantasy novel. Drawing heavily from Yoruba mythology and West African traditions, the epic offers audiences a striking introduction to the mystical kingdom of Orïsha.

Helmed by The Woman King director Gina Prince-Bythewood, the film follows Zélie Adebola, portrayed by South African actress Thuso Mbedu, as she sets out on a perilous mission to restore magic to her people after a brutal ruling kingdom has wiped it out.

The trailer teases a visually rich adventure packed with breathtaking landscapes, elaborate costumes, powerful displays of magic and high-stakes action. At its heart is a story that explores courage, identity and the fight to reclaim a stolen legacy, making it one of the most ambitious fantasy films ever inspired by African mythology.
