Delta Police Exhume Body Of Nursing Student Who Died By Suicide After Alleged Assault

Operatives of the Delta State Police Command on Tuesday, July 28, 2026, exhumed the body of a 20-year-old nursing student, Favour Agbro, to perform a post-mortem examination as part of ongoing investigations into her death.

The late Agbro tragically took her own life after alleging that she was sexually assaulted by a popular online content creator, identified as Odogwu Asaba.

The suspect remains in police custody while detectives continue to gather forensic evidence.

Human rights activist, Israel Joe, confirmed the development, revealing that a team of police investigators and qualified pathologists conducted the forensic examination at the burial site in the presence of representatives from both families.

Emotional scenes unfolded during the procedure when the deceased’s twin sister, Faith, requested permission to place a loaf of bread and a tin of sardines inside the grave.

She explained to officials and family members that her late twin sister had appeared to her in a dream, complaining of hunger. The grief-stricken family and police officials granted her request before the body was reburied.

The Delta State Police Command assured the public that the autopsy results will form a crucial part of the ongoing prosecution to ensure justice is served in the case.
