The Unique Precious Care Foundation, led by its Founder and Chairperson, Pastor (Mrs.) Florence Umana, has brought Christmas cheer to over 530 widows across selected local government areas of Akwa Ibom State through its 2025 yuletide outreach.
The humanitarian exercise, which spanned several communities, saw beneficiaries receive food items, clothing and cash support aimed at easing the burden of the festive season and restoring hope among vulnerable women.
The outreach was concluded on Monday, December 22, 2025, with visits to Ikot Edom Itam in Itu Local Government Area and Mount Zion Lighthouse Full Gospel Church, Ikot Abasi Itam Dioceses Headquarters.
At Ikot Edom Itam, about 120 women and widows received wrappers and bags of rice. The Foundation’s delegation was hosted by Mrs. Soni Ayang, who commended the initiative and prayed for God’s continued blessings on the organisation.
Addressing the beneficiaries, Mrs. Umana described the Foundation as a non-governmental and non-political organisation dedicated to improving the lives of the less privileged.
“Unique Precious Care Foundation exists solely to touch lives and restore hope among the less privileged in our society,” she said, noting that for over 25 years, the Foundation has consistently supported women, children and vulnerable groups through education, healthcare and economic empowerment.
Several goodwill messages were delivered by community leaders and Foundation officials, who praised the consistency and compassion of the organisation. Among dignitaries at the event was Hon. Soni Ayang, former Commissioner in Akwa Ibom State and immediate past Commissioner with the Revenue Mobilisation and Fiscal Allocation Commission (RMAFC).
At Mount Zion Lighthouse Full Gospel Church, Ikot Abasi Itam, 20 widows benefited from similar support. The Women Coordinator, Hon. (Mrs.) Rosemary Harry, and the Presiding Pastor, Apostle James Ekwere, expressed appreciation to Mrs. Umana for her sustained support and prayers over the years.
The Christmas outreach commenced on December 15, 2025, in Ika Local Government Area, where 200 women and widows received wrappers, rice and cash. On December 18, the Foundation extended the intervention to Ibesikpo Local Government Area, reaching 105 beneficiaries, and Abak Local Government Area, where over 80 widows received assistance.
In total, more than 530 women and widows benefited from the Foundation’s 2025 Christmas outreach.
Mrs. Umana thanked God for the grace to sustain the annual intervention and appreciated her husband, partners and members of the Foundation for their unwavering support. She reaffirmed the organisation’s commitment to expanding its humanitarian reach and creating lasting impact through targeted programmes.
