The First Lady of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Mrs Remi Tinubu, has called on Nigerians to embrace love, compassion, kindness and generosity as they celebrate Christmas.
In her Christmas message, Senator Tinubu said the Yuletide season, which marks the birth of Jesus Christ, should remind Nigerians of the values that unite them as a people.
“In this Yuletide season, as we celebrate the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ with our families and friends, let us be reminded of the values that unite us – love, compassion, kindness, and generosity,” she said.
She described the season as a time to count blessings and extend support to those most in need.
“It is a time to count our blessings and extend a helping hand to those who need it most,” the First Lady said.
Senator Tinubu also prayed for peace in Nigeria and for the safety of Nigerians of all religious beliefs.
“We thank the Lord for His faithfulness, and we pray for peace in our nation, for the safety of Christians, Muslims, and those of other faith,” she stated.
Looking ahead to the coming year, the First Lady expressed hope for unity, renewed hope and prosperity in the country.
“I pray that 2026 will usher in greater unity, renewed hope and prosperity for us all,” she said.
She concluded by wishing Nigerians a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year, and prayed for God’s blessings on the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
