Samuel Chukwueze has touched down in Lisbon, linking up with the Super Eagles’ training camp as the team prepares for their upcoming international friendly against Portugal.
His arrival raises the number of players currently in camp to 22.
The 27-year-old winger had been missing from Nigeria’s recent outings—including the Unity Cup and the friendly against Poland—due to the passing of his mother and the subsequent burial rites.
Now back with the squad, Chukwueze is expected to take part in this evening’s training session.
The Super Eagles themselves had arrived in Leiria on Thursday night ahead of the friendly.
Éric Chelle’s men are scheduled to face Portugal on Wednesday next week at the Estádio Municipal de Leiria.
