Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) in Kwara State will henceforth provide security in mosques and churches during the Friday prayers and Sunday services.

The new state commandant of NSCDC, Mr Bala Bawa Bodinga disclosed this to LEADERSHIP in Ilorin.

Bodinga said the decision to provide security for worshippers during the Friday Jumma’at prayer and Sunday church services is part of the measures designed to protect life and property in the state.

Bodinga also revealed that NSCDC operatives would be engaged in 24-hour surveillance and patrol of every part of the state to check the activities of criminals.

He added that deliberate efforts would be made to protect vital state and national infrastructure assets across the state.

“Since I took over, there has never been a night without troop presence. My operators maintain 24-hour surveillance to safeguard lives and property,” he stated.
