Civil Service Fulcrum Of Good Governance In Osun – Adeleke

Osun State governor, Senator Ademola Adeleke has described the civil service in the state as a fulcrum for good governance in the state saying they play key roles  towards achieving the implementation of programmes, policies and activities of government aimed at delivery of dividend of democracy to the populace.

The governor spoke on the occasion of this year’s civil service week celebrations described the workforce in Osun as an engine room and the needed pillar of support whose worth and influence cannot be toyed with.

Senator Adeleke who was represented by the state deputy governor, Prince Kola Adewusi pledged the commitment of his administration to put workers welfare at the front burner of his administration.

The governor who was also publicly honoured and decorated with an award of excellence as the ‘Most Worker Friendly Governor in Osun State’, however, implored all workers to continue to be diligent and efficient, stressing that hard work would from time to time be adequately rewarded by his administration.

Earlier, the Osun State Head of Service, Mr Ayanleye Aina who was also publicly acknowledged and presented an award of excellence to the governor for changing the face of Osun State civil service for good, appreciated and commended the efforts of the Adeleke led administration for putting the welfare of worker as the front burner of his administration.

In his welcome address, Chairman, NCSU, Osun state branch, Comrade Christopher Arapasopo declared the readiness of Osun workers to continue to align positively with the policies, programmes and activities of the Ademola Adeleke led administration just as he acknowledged and thanked the governor for making the welfare of workers a top priority.

About 70 workers drawn from different Ministries, Departments and agencies of government throughout Osun state including Mr Moshood Suleiman, the Director, Press and Public Relations of the Ministry of Information and Public Enlightenment were honoured with Osun state Civil Service Merit Award 2023 for their outstanding performance in service.
