A renown cleric, Mr Temitope Solomon of the Christ the King Church, Ilorin, has admonished Nigerians, especially women, against exposing their nudity in public domains.
Giving the advice in Ilorin yesterday in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), Solomon described indecent dressing as ungodly, uncivilised and barbaric.
He cautioned youths who were mostly fond of this bad attitude to refrain and desist from it by dressing decently and stop walking naked exposing their body.

“I observed that some of our youths who constitute about 75 per cent of the Nigerian population and the future hope for the nation feel very comfortable wearing transparent clothes and walking around naked.
“Exposing your body to the public is not fashion, it is total madness. Dress politely and look good,” he advised.
“Most of our ladies and girls now prefer to buy transparent clothes and wear in public thinking they are doing the right thing.
“When you dress to expose your body, you will lose your self worth. No any sane man will like to take you as a wife and you are an easy prey to criminals.
“Your body should not be for public view. Please learn to dress decently and earn your respect,” he said.
The cleric noted that indecent dressing was not restricted to girls alone, adding that some boys also dress anyhow thinking it is normal.
He also blamed some parents for condoling indecent dressing by their children.
According to him, most parents will pass good comments when they see some wears on their children, rather than rebuke and caution them.
The clergy also urged parents to stop encouraging their wards to wear any form of cloth in the public.
“Be strict on them when they do the wrong, caution them and discourage them from putting on transparent clothes under your watch,” he advised. (NAN)
