Cleric Wants Prayers Against Kuje Prison Jailbreak

Archbishop Emmah Gospel Isong, General Overseer and founder of Christian Central Chapel International (CCCI), has appealed to Nigerians to pray against an alleged plot to stage a jailbreak in Kuje Prison.

The appeal was made during the 2026 Cross Night Service, titled, “Prophetically and Magnetically,” held at CCCI Calabar.

Isong, who also serves as national vice president of the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN) South‑South, warned that some individuals are planning another prison break to “re‑coup” their operatives and advance a terrorist agenda. He asked the congregation to intercede for the safety of the facility.

The cleric also requested prayers for Osun State, hoping it will avoid becoming a political battleground in the 2026 elections, and for Abakaliki, the capital of Ebonyi State, to be spared from violence.

He further called for intercession for the Tiv tribe, expressing concern that feelings of marginalisation could spark unrest that would exceed previous conflicts in other regions.

Isong predicted that kidnapping dens in Cross River State would be exposed, stressing that the state would gain prominence in agricultural development, with increased labour productivity.

He foresees a restructuring of the traditional institution in Cross River that could lead to the establishment of a new palace, praying that the change occurs without bloodshed.

Additionally, he forecast extensive documentation, certification and registration initiatives in Akwa Ibom State, which he said would enable citizens to benefit from government programmes and improve the state’s economic outlook.
