The Conference of Nigeria Political Parties (CNPP), Delta State chapter, has said that Governor Sheriff Oborevwori’s emergence as Governor of the Year 2025, an award conferred on him by LEADERSHIP Newspapers, reflects the governor’s visionary leadership, pragmatic governance style and strong commitment to the development of Delta State.

In a statement, the state chairman of CNPP, Fred Obi, described the recognition as well-deserved, noting that the administration has demonstrated people-centred governance anchored on the MORE Agenda.

While pointing to notable progress in infrastructure renewal, youth empowerment, human capital development, improved security, and economic growth, he stressed that as an umbrella body of political parties in the state, the CNPP believes outstanding performance in public office should be acknowledged beyond partisan lines.

He added that impactful leadership deserves commendation regardless of political affiliation, stating that the honour should inspire the governor to sustain and consolidate on his achievements while maintaining inclusive, accountable, and people-focused governance across the state.
