Emmanuel Folorunso, Secretary of the support groups, articulated the rationale behind their decision to endorse Vice Admiral Usman Jibrin (Rtd). He cited Jibrin’s exceptional technical expertise, widespread national acceptance, and an insatiable thirst for development as the compelling factors driving their endorsement. Folorunso stated unequivocally, “We have no reservations about our endorsement, and we are resolute in our determination to demonstrate this commitment in the field.”

In response to this resounding endorsement, Vice Admiral Usman Jibrin, the gubernatorial candidate of the Accord Party, pledged to vigorously pursue the state’s development and initiate a comprehensive review of certain policies implemented by the current government that have been perceived as detrimental to the welfare of the people.

Acknowledging the challenges faced by the citizens of Kogi State, Jibrin expressed, “I fully grasp the hardships endured by my fellow Kogites, and this remains the central motivation behind my decision to seek the office of Governor of Kogi State. I am dedicated to alleviating your suffering and propelling the state toward robust development.”

He further affirmed, “I am committed to being a governor who places the welfare of the people at the forefront. I will introduce policies that will bring tangible benefits to the residents of Kogi, and I possess a well-defined strategy to achieve this objective.”
