Coalition of Rivers State Leaders of Thoughts has called on President Bola Tinubu to consider appointing Social Democratic Party (SDP)gubernatorial candidate in River State, Senator Magnus Abe for ministerial appointments.

Addressing journalists in Abuja yesterday, the convener and secretary, High Chief Sunnie Chukwumele and Hon. Josiah Onoriode respectively, said all Senator Magnus Abe supporters voted for Tinubu during the presidential election.

“We want to put it on record that Senator Abe single Handley built the political structure for the promotion of president Bola Tinubu’s presidential ambition in Rivers State.

“He was castigated and vilified by the majority of Rivers State people who were either supporters of the immediate past Governor of Rivers State, Governor Nysome Wike, of PDP, and Chibuike Ameachi.”

The coalition further appealed to President Tinubu to appoint his Minister Ogoni land because they are second largest ethnic groups in River State and they have never enjoyed a full Ministerial position in this country since after General Yakubu Gawon administration, were late Dr. GB Leton served as federal commissioner.

“We believe that appointing Senator Abe whose profile is intimidating into president Tinubu’s cabinet will also be a succor to the President’s original believers and followers in Rivers State,” they added.
