Kaduna State commissioner for local government and chieftaincy affairs, Sadiq Mamman, has commended the national chairman of All Progressives Congress (APC), Dr Umar Ganduje, for selecting Governor Uba Sani as the coordinating governor of the North West Zone.

He said the people of Kaduna, as well as Governor Uba Sani‘s friends and political associates, expressed their gratitude to the national chairman of APC and the members of the National Working Group (NWC) for bestowing this honour on him.
They pledged to work diligently to mobilise and unify party members, strengthen internal democracy, and prepare for future political contests.
He said with the collective efforts of all, they are confident that Governor Uba Sani will succeed in his new responsibilities.

Mamman in a statement by Mr Victor Bobai said Governor Sani would enhance the unity and progress of the party in the region towards a successful victory at the polls come 2027.
He said Governor Sani with the appointment is to coordinate the governors of the North-West and encourage their active participation in the party‘s activities.
He is also to facilitate regular interactions between the governors and the party leadership.

“Governor Uba Sani will work closely with the party to initiate a genuine reconciliation process for aggrieved members in the North-West Zone,“ he said.
He continued, „To ensure effective party mobilisation, Governor Uba Sani will rally the governors of the North-West Zone to actively engage in party activities both within and outside the region. Additionally, he will consult with the governors on matters that promote the party‘s progress and unity within the zone. Furthermore, Governor Uba Sani will lend his support to the party in resource mobilization efforts within the North-West Zone.“
