Community Shield: Arsenal Blow Man City Away In First Half, Lead 2-0

Arsenal produced a dominant first-half display to take a 2-0 lead over Manchester City at the break in the Community Shield.

The Gunners opened the scoring after just one minute, with Riccardo Calafiori finding the net following an assist from Myles Lewis-Skelly.

Manchester City struggled to respond as Arsenal continued to threaten, with Phil Foden receiving a booking in the 24th minute.

Arsenal doubled their advantage in the 28th minute when Kai Havertz finished off a move created by Christos Tzolis to make it 2-0.

Calafiori was shown a yellow card six minutes before the interval as Arsenal maintained control.
