Concert For Change To Raise N100m Funds For Vulnerable Children

Concert For Change, a non-profit initiative, aims to raise N100 million to support deserving charities that assist vulnerable children across Nigeria.

Green Worship 8.0, an initiative of Concert For Change, will hold its music event at the MUSON Centre, Onikan, Lagos, on 11 October 2025. The event aims to raise funds for charities supporting orphans and children with disabilities.

The concert will feature a star-studded lineup of gospel artists, including Nathaniel Bassey, Dunsin Oyekan, Gaise Baba, Anendlessocean, Preye Odede, Rotimi Keys, Kent Egunjobi, Moyosola Olowokure, Gospel Force, Ellie Scotte, Outgun Onkar, and Wale Adenuga.

Since its inception, this initiative has bridged the gap between compassion and action, demonstrating that true worship extends beyond songs and touches lives. Green Worship has become a movement where music leads people, and every offering of praise turns into tangible help for those in need.

Through the generosity of donors and worshippers, Concert For Change has raised and disbursed over N160 million to 39 charities across Nigeria.

These funds have supported the education, healthcare, therapy, and shelter of thousands of orphans and children with disabilities.

Speaking about what the platform has achieved and the plans moving forward, the convener of the event, Wale Adenuga, said, “This milestone stands as a testament to what God can do through people with willing hearts, proving that the miracle of five loaves and two fishes is still alive today.”

This year’s proceeds will benefit five organisations, including Comrade David Ofoeyeno School for Special Children (Warri), Marvellous Foundation Orphans Care Centre (Minna), Super Parents Foundation (Lagos), Hope Orphanage (Akure), and the Learning Disabilities Society of Nigeria (Uyo).

Adenuga explained why they do this: “We all know that the times are challenging and the needs around us are growing. Yet amid these challenges, charities do incredible work, often unseen, feeding, teaching and caring for orphans and children with special needs. The least we can do is to lighten that burden.

“Green Worship is about: creating a space where worship becomes a response to human need and where songs turn into support. So through Concert For Change, we remind ourselves and others that compassion is still powerful, generosity still transforms lives, and we can bring hope to those who need it most together.”

“We’re encouraging people both onsite and online to be part of this initiative and a blessing to all these charities we support. Our goal for this year is to raise 100 million Naira.

“This initiative is expanding beyond Nigeria by planning support for charity organisations in other African countries. We hope to host this event outside Nigeria within a year or two, possibly in the UK. We plan for the funds from that event to be targeted towards other West African countries. This is because some people have pointed out that the money we give to Nigerian charities could mean much more to charities in Cameroon, Liberia, or Sierra Leone. So, that is something we’re considering.”

Expressing joy about the gesture, the Coordinator of the Learning Disabilities Society of Nigeria, Inimfom Tommy, stated, “I feel so happy right now for being chosen as one of the deserving organisations. Since our existence over the past six years, this is the first time we have received financial support to boost our activities. We care for people with disabilities, providing all services free of charge. Many of those we serve have Down syndrome, cerebral palsy, autism, and learning disabilities. We empower these people through academic and skill acquisition programmes. We deeply appreciate what Concert For Change is doing and will utilise the support we receive very well.”
